Baghdad Patrol -- 6/23/2003 —

The day after Christmas 2002, the 3rd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment of The Florida Army National Guard was mobilized for Operation Iraqi Freedom. After arriving in Kuwait in early February, the battalion marched to Baghdad, providing security for a shield of patriot missile batteries deployed for force protection. Now, the battalion finds itself in the heart of the reconstruction of Iraq, from security operations, to neighborhood patrols, these citizen soldiers from the sunshine state are on the job. National Guard Bureau's Sr. Broadcast Photojournalist SFC Paul Mouilleseaux takes you on a tour of downtown Baghdad, with "The Soldiers on the Point".

Interviewer for the following is some asshole who contributes to a left wing radio station in Los Angeles, CA.  The asshole tries to grill our soldiers with thinly veiled accusations.  Our Soldiers gave great answers.  I probably would have beat the reporter with his camera.

Ambush (2:06 min. July 21)
An ambush around July 21, 11:00 AM near the base destroyed at least two Humvee vehicles, killed one U.S. solider & a Iraqi translator, and wounded several from 1st Battalion, 37 Armor Division in Baghdad.

Around 10:00 PM, hundreds of Baghdad's citizen shooting their guns to sky to celebrate the death of two Saddam's son in the earlier days U.S. raid in Mosul.

Saddam (1:34 min. July 23)
Saddam's pre-recorded speech (from July 20) aired on TV, the day after his two sons were killed by U.S. troops in Mosul.

Shooting (5:22 min. July 23)

I know guys in B-898 Engineers(cbt)/81st SIB, when the unit used to be A-578 EN(cbt).  I was in B-578EN.  I also heard 132 EN are being attached to 81st SIB for OIF-2.
