I was at a cookout yesterday and got to talking with a Korean war vet. He had his C.I.B. stripped down to the white, polished and made into a ring. It wasn't some kind of novelty piece, it was a genuine C.I.B..

I have heard of and seen Jump wings (Novice Senior and Master)with ths done. But the way it was made is a Gold cast bent into a ring. If you ever see it again get pics.

That's cool as hell. Bet he paid a heckuva price for it, though......the 23rd Infantry Reg't has a bowl that is made from the melted CIBs of Korean vets.....lot of sacrifice in that CIB, and in that bowl.....
