HR 218 remains locked up in committee since the chairman is anti gun and refuses to allow a vote despite the Bill having over 230 co- sponsors.HR 271, introduced again by Rep. Cunningham, is a Bill to force HR 218 out of committee for a full vote on the floor. It only has about 28 co-sponsors at this time. In case anyone doesn't know, 218 would exempt qualified active and retired LEO's from State laws prohibiting CCW. If you support 218, you might want to contact your Rep and urge support for H. Res. 271. After all, even if your Rep doesn't support 218, all we want is a fair and open vote in order to see where everyone stands. That may be why 271 only has 28 co-sponsors. I don't think that the over 230 co-sponsors of HR 218 should be allowed to claim support for LEO's if they won't go the extra mile to allow this thing out for a vote.
