I have a CCW permit, and I carry.

The situation is;

I am in a public area (McDonald's, the mall, etc.) you are in the area (in uniform or not) and near enough to me that when I go to pay for my purchase and reach for my wallet in a back pants pocket my holstered weapon is ever so slightly exposed, just enough that you recognize it is a handgun.

What will your reaction be and how do you want me to respond?

Well we all know it's bad CCW etiquette to flash your piece! However in AR. there are lots of individuals who carry (mostly legally!). If I see you flashing you will get my attention. That does'nt mean I'm going to address the breach of etiquette. You could be off duty LEO, have a CCW, or whatever. If I'm off duty is there any reason for me to confront you, provided you are not violating any laws other than flashing? No. If I'm on duty it would depend on circumstances, but you might get asked why you're carrying. For the most part, big deal. Obviously this would not apply to those engaged in a felonious activity. If I approach you and inquire just explain why. Just don't automatically reach for your wallet carried unneath your weapon to show me your CCW!

Off duty I'm going to walk away shaking my head and thinking "what a breech of etiquette" on duty I might wisper something to you and then walk off thinking "what a breech of etiquette". I'm in FL. and everybody here carries so it's no big deal.
