Would there be any significant loss of velocity and energy at 100 yards when choosing a 14.5" M4 barrel over a 16" one of the same type? Issue ammo would range between 55gr BTHP and 62gr FMJ. Both barrels are 1 in 9 twist. I have seen BM chart but it only shows muzzle energy.I see 100 yards or less more realistic situations than 200 to 300 yard engagements. Need some advise from those who know.
Thanks,
Todd
