I just took the Alert test last week and scored a 56. I guess 37 is passing. How much weight, if any is given to this test score ? and is a 56 good?

Also, anyone know of any departments hiring in Maine?

It is one of many factors considered by departments. You passed by a healthy margin so I wouldn't worry about it disqualifying you. I don't know what the average score is by that sounds right around average.

They have a few. I wouldn't want to work there though. The chief quit abruptly in the past few months and I've heard more than a few grumblings about the department.
