1. The expanding ammo/frangible/soft point is SAFER for the public. Less chance of over penetration, and more energy transferred to the target. There are several studies preformed that prove this.
2. Regarding the 22 shots in the windshield. I know fist hand how many shots it takes to stop a van after the driver tries to kill you. Do you? Answer: As many as it takes to stop the threat.
Not trying to give a smart ass answer, but a truthful one from my point of view, based on my experiences, training, and education. BTW, citizens in my state can carry the same ammo I do to work every day, so why shouldn't I be allowed to? Please reread my post. The UN, nor any other foreign laws, or agreements, have nothing to do with law enforcement within the US. What you are referring to is concerning armed engagements between 2 different country’s. Foreign nations can, and do, the same thing within their own county’s. Do I have LESS rights because I am a LEO? Seems that way to me at times.
