who makes the best ones?

i'm looking for good detail along w/ decent fit and finish.  I want to keep them under 8 1/2 inches.  I have not seen any other than online so do not know how they look in person.

what's your experience?

Tagged for info. I've looked at a few places that sell models & parts to bash your own kits, but I
can't remember which scale. I'm pretty sure that they're bigger than 8" though.

i'm looking for more of the collectible style.  i don't think i have the patience to actually build a model!
