So tell me about the Nelson-Denny test...is this just a run of the mill timed reading and comprehension test or what?  How difficult is it?  Does it only cover reading, comprehension, vocabulary?  Any help is appreciated.

It's pretty damn easy.  If I remember it has two main sections.  One of the sections requires you to look at a word and associate it with it's definition or something that is similar with it.  The other section is reading several paragraphs about a subject and then answering questions on what you just read.  Nothing hard about the test but it's timed and you have to go fast to get the questions answered.
