Losing my knife... I hate it. Never fails, just when you need it, it's not on your belt anymore.

I'd cry if that happened to me. I have a Microtech Vector that I've become quite emotionally attached to....

That is why I stick with the Smith and Wesson knives. I can not afford to loose a benchmade.

Hmm, mine goes in my pocket. Holster tends to cover it in such a way that it has trouble escaping.
Plus if I lose or break that $30 CRKT I have, no big deal.

Thinking about mounting a fixed blade knife to my BRV's trauma plate pocket too, that way I have a backup that isn't going anywhere.

I try to buy cheap knives too! Buying something nice is a guarantee that it will get lost.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Did it get caught on the seatbelt of your squad?

I carry 3 knives. Benchmade, CRKT and S&W fixed blade.

There's some little toad running around my city with the Spyderco that went bouncing out of my vest pocket three years ago.

Got it on sale for $39 but I'm still chapped.

Wal-mart Winchester knifes, if i lose them I can always get a new one. I havent lost it yet thank god cause I've also come attached to it.

I had a resident find my badge in his front yard last week, too.

I think my total duty losses are in the hundreds by now.

..I haven't lost any gear yet..not even a cuff key..of course we can't carry knives at work.

Try clipping your knife inside your shirt pocket. Keeps it handy, safe from loss, and handy to be used as a weapon if you get in a tight spot in a fight.

I can't imagine losing my knife. Nor can I imagine carrying something that may come apart in my hands and injure me when I have to prevent a gun grab with it.

I will buy some cheapo gear, but weapons is/are not one of them.

+1. I've lost some good ones, but I liked this one. It was a Kershaw Blur, with the super gritty sandpaper type grip. I got a carbon fiber CRKT M16-14FK that I put into use when I lost the Blur. I normally have several others sitting at home that I can rely on as backups when I lose one.

I have a few Benchmades that only cost me about $40-60. They are great knives and I won't cry too much if I lose one.
