I was watching a show on discovery times about Las Vegas S.W.A.T. teams. As I was watching I was drooling over all their gear. Is there a particular company that makes all the equipment or is everything bought individually? Who makes the body armor and entry vests?

Tac armor is made by a lot of companies.

Familiar ones are:

Safariland (Cover 6 series)

Second Chance (Command JACS)

PointBlank

RBR

ABA

PRO-TECH

and on and on.

LVMPD had their vests specially made for them. One of their guys told me that they had the pouches and setup specially made to their specifications. I *believe* that they are made by ABA.
