Right now the basic "shield w/ eagle on top" (3rd row down second from the left).
But we are in the process of changing and it looks like a custom oval style is gonna be the winner. ( 98% of the dept.) I'm pretty stoked because I designed it. If I had a clue on how to post a pic I would like to get some feedback, but alas I'm a computer retard. |

Our FD badge looks like the R.I. badge (Blackington B311, IIRC)
Out PD gets the one 3rd row 2nd from left (Oregon?) |
send it to me at [email protected] and I'll post it for you. ETA..mine has a beaver on it.... actually it doesn't but a lot of them do. and my favorite one...beaver Inspector. |

I think I figured this shit out.
Here is our new one, the vote is in a week or so but like I said about 98% of the dept. have stated they are picking this one. I would like some honest feedback from you guys if possible. Keep in mind the coloring is a little off in this pic. It will be antique silver with antique gold. http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/3769/newbadge3qb.th.png Holy shit it worked, my first photo link....fuck i'm giddy. |

Looks great sink156.
Nice to see another screw hanging around here. Them patrol car jockies have us out numbered.. |
Third Row, second to the right. "New Mexico..." Only ours are silver
7 point. They tie it in with our ethical training.
Each point in the badge represents a letter in the word sheriff. Each letter stands for a value. |
Ours is similar to the Nevada Highway Patrol one shown. 6th row down, 3rd from the left.
7 pointed star. Similar to South Dakota Highway Patrol except one colored, silver. Fourth row, second from the right.
Hey NorCal, How about those AN ALbum covers? Do the PEN IS mightiers work man? "SO Trebek, we meet again". |
Top row second from right- looks close to mine-Md State Police
Third row, second from right, next to the DPS badge. Standard badge is silver and gold, Sgts and above are all gold.
ours is the same as this one except it has the county name in the center, rank on top and name on the bottom of the circle.

Shield.
I still have it. The Chief gave it to me when I left. |
Ed Jones? |

Yep. check out the Line of Duty thread header photo. Mine's the one in the US photo. Looks just like Oakland, CA PD's. Our new squad design looks exactly like CHP's with silver instead of gold lettering. Can you tell our Chief's a California native? |

Both Shields in Silver.
1. 3rd row, second from the right (Old School). 2. 6th row, third from the right (New School). |
Same department for 23+ years. Three different badges.
I started with a shield like the one on the in third row down, second from right. Then we went to a seven point star like the one in the second row from the bottom, second from the right. Now we use a shield that looks like the shield in the second row from the bottom, third from the right. |
Mine's third row down, far right; however, this badge was used by my department back in the 60s & early 70s. It was referred to the 'enamel' badge.
Current issue is still round with the outline of the state of Texas inside and a 5 point star punched completely through the badge. |
I classified mine as "other". It's one of the one's in your picture......hint, hint. It's the only one of its kind that I know of anyway, perhaps others can enlighten me as to the contrary, but I've yet to see its equivalent. |
Same as his but not gold |
Our FD one is closest to the bottom right in the picture, but it is silver and red.
I think I may have worn it three times, two funerals and one fire saftey day at the school, in 5 years. |
