I keep it on the wall in my man's room.  I think my girls like to see it more than I do, oh the questions little ones have about being a po po.  21 years in those shields, going for 22 soon.

Eh, mine would only have two badges in it.

You quit a lot.

I've only got 1 fullsize wallet badge and 1 mini one that got ordered by mistake.

Idiot me sold my other fullsize wallet (different agency) to one of the guys when I quit the dept.

I'm pretty sure I can't go get a new one to replace it.

I'm a 3rd generation JBT and my father is making a shadow box with each of our badges in it.  He also has an old Colt .38 revolver which was my Great Uncle's sidearm which he plans to incorporate into the theme.

This year is my department's sesquicentennial anniversary.  So i'll be able to contribute 2 badges.

Not really, only two departments, 3 years as a deputy and 18 as a pd officer.

The top three was when I was a deputy and the bottom six are all from the same department.  Promotions and different assignments.

My  primary agency has always made me turn mine in when I was promoted/ transfered. My secondary agency only gave me one badge, and I still need that one...

Nice shadowbox.

I only wore three so far...and we have to turn in our old ones when we promote.  We actually have hand engraved silver badges (one of the three agencies in CA) so I think they like to recycle them.

1 badge, 15 years so far.  After I have 25 in I  don't anticipate having another one.  Well, except the one they give you that  says "RETIRED".

Congrats on 21 years! My wife is working on one for me (she thinks in secret!) for my 15th year.  Unfortunately I was hit by a drunk driver on a pursuit in May (severe back injury), and I'm not sure if I will see 22 years myself.  We have a patrolman working for us that just hit his 30th year!  He is still highly motivated and is as active as the young guys.  I really respect that!  His wife asked us to help on a shadow box for him and it turned out great!

Sorry about your injury WARDOG, I hope that back heals and you do see 22 years.  I'm going to get a bigger display case one of these days with all my patches, pins, nametags and my whistle.  In Ga they have huge craft / hobby stores called Michael's that have decent priced shadow boxes and display cases.  Good luck Sir.
