State Trooper Cars from All 50 States #StateTrooperCars #TrooperCruisers #50StatesTroopers

Interesting stand outs:

CT has the only unmarked vehicles. Light bars and bumpers but no logos
HI has no state police. Interesting
MI with their top hat and shark fin looks weird..

Seen any unusual vehicles belonging to smaller agencies around you?

Obviously not a patrol vehicle per se and a city department but fucking hilarious every time I see one and laugh at it.

This color scheme was cool when they were testing it.

DPS also runs a shit ton of unmarked vehicles (yellow Mustang, red Challenger, etc.). Some guy got stabbed with a screwdriver at a bus stop near work and they must have had 50+ vehicles there of every make and model unmarked. Shame I didn't grab pictures.

Alabama has many unmarked. I've seen them in pickup trucks pulling people over who flew by them in traffic.

Yes but here in CT, every state police vehicle is void of any logos or words.

Guess I miss read what you said also LOL I thought you meant you are the only state that has unmarked. Not that all yours are unmarked. Man your state cops must tag a ton of people.

The old LX Mustangs with 5 speed manual transmissions have to be on the short list of coolest patrol cars ever. But, the early 2000s Camaros were night and day faster.

I think that the current, high HP, 4 door, cars are a far more practical police car, but those old cars were just fun.

The Camaro from that era is a motherfucker to get in and out of.  Add a duty belt to the mix and it was horrible.

Local PCSD had one they got through a RAGE grant.  Nobody wanted to drive it, and I think it eventually got totalled.  It was replaced with a 4 door Charger.

When DPS had their LX Mustangs, there was one that always worked traffic on the remote highway that I lived on when I was growing up. Every time I saw that car I lusted after it, it just screamed fun.

The gray color really sticks out. All of their licence plates end in UTZ ,WHK, and a couple of other combinations.

Also there is no county LE or government of any form in CT. Most towns don't even have a PD, just a resident trooper if anything.

Those were 5s, with some M parts. They were slick. The entire SCHP could have had them as leases, but the Governor at the time thought that it would be too gaudy to have state employees driving Bimmers.

The one in Horry County (Myrtle Beach) got T-boned when the trooper failed to yield right of way making a left turn.

HI doesn’t want to add an additional car to every LEO in the state so they just use their POVs. Literally just strap a blue light to the roof and you’re in business.

They do have standards on what can be a cruiser, and transports are handled by dedicated vehicles but it’s pretty unusual to be driving behind a Honda Pilot that’s an actual patrol vehicle

Typical AL State Trooper Tahoe...

When I transferred from Investigations to Highway Patrol, I was able to keep my unmarked slick-top Tahoe...just had to add door decals. I painted the BowTies and center caps to further the Darth Vader / Mad Max Interceptor look. (Both of us retired at the end of 2018 )

That IS funny when you think of where it came from.

That's proof of what happens when you let the inmates run the asylum.

Love the Javelin.  I had one when I was 16.  A beast on the straight away, but couldn't take a curve for crap.  They didn't last long as a pursuit vehicle for the HP.

Without a doubt, Mississippi makes the best breakfast.

Old school South Carolina was a pretty decent buffet, but they changed that years ago.

Georgia and North Carolina are both ok.

Let’s see if anyone claims this sign.

The new Academy has pretty good food...the old one? Not so much.

It was at the old Craig Field/AFB in Selma, Alabama (built 1940, deactivated 1977). I always thought the scrambled eggs were pre-peppered, but about 3 weeks into training I noticed one morning my eggs had a progressively increasing amount of pepper. I thought one of my buddies were f'ing with me...I looked around, then looked up.

That's when I noticed the mold creeping out of and falling from the air vents in the chow hall.

Around Briarcliff area if I remember correctly.  I spoke with the Trooper who drove it at a gas station one night (before the accident). It still had the CD changer installed

That’s correct. It was one of those deals where two lanes stopped and waved to turn. The problem was that lane three wasn’t in on the plan.
