Actually it's closer to New Year's Eve's Afternoon. I'll be mustering Far away from the excitement of Time Square (60th and Broadway) and then posted to direct traffic suposidly from 1400 to 2145 hours. However I was told that we will probably be held over until 0200 hours. Which wouldn't be that bad except then we have to be back at the Academy at 0707 hours.

So what do you guys think. Silk or Poly Pro fleece long John's?

Well I found out they will have cots set up at the Academy for those of us working the next day tour. I don't even want to go into what they are making the recruits wear because we "aren't cops yet." The good news is I have my vest now, but I'm still not sure about the helmet.

Ah, to be a recruit out of class. We have 2 of ours home right now. They are in regular uniform though. Stay warm Vinnie, and smile nice for the womanz!

My daughter called me from Times Square New Years eve. She was supposed to be skiing in Vermont. I told her to stay away from Vinnie.
