[center]CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS
We are Correctional Officers -
We do our job without a gun
We hope to go home when the day is done
We face inmates who curse and swear
We never drop the cross we bear
And with the rules we must abide
Unlike those the judges tried
The jabs from management we must take
Is enough to make a strong man break
With hep and AIDS and disease abound
It's not much wonder that we're found
On sick leave, stress leave, and vacation too
And now we're down to just a few
But take heart when you hear them say
We sit on our ass and collect our pay
'Cause you and I, we know the story
And we'll never have to say we're sorry
Any day could be our last
The dangers we face are wide and vast
So lift your chin and walk with pride
We've got US on our side.
We are Correctional Officers...
