I suggest that you download and listen as it develops into a shots fired situation fast. Responding units, air support, radio traffic from the K-9 Officer trapped in the bedroom. Very sobering.

I know 2 of the Officers, but not the one killed.
2 USMs, 2 Probation Officers from the Gang Unit, and 3 SDPD Officers in the ghetto. I hated working this area, it was like a battle zone.
Cliff Notes: Probation and USM team up to pick up a Juvi at the address. USM has a ADW warrant for a person at the address. They get the PD to respond and help. 1 K-9 Officer and an FTO with his trainee. After entry, two suspects run to the back of the apartment. Officer kicks in door and get shot in the head (The FTO). Everyone returns fire and back out of the apartment. SWAT called. Crooks dead.
Another sad day for the SDPD.

Happens a lot here.

Plenty of bad areas, plenty of highway for the CHP to manage = a lot of unfortunate events.
