I had no idea he was planning on doing it.

It was for the Roswell Park Cancer Instiute's Going Bald For Bucks drive, which his school participated in.

So he came in the door yesterday evening sans his mop of hair and I asked him 'Sweetie, what did you do?'. He responded, 'I did it for you, mom'.

It was just one of those moments that you want to hold onto and keep forever.

He's becoming a Man.

Prayers & good wishes sent!

Thank you! I AM proud of him. It's been a rough year for all of us and through it all he's still managed to stay on the honor roll.

Yesterday when he walked in the house, it really did seem like he'd become a man.

That is awesome of your son to do that, I hope all is well.  I also did the same for my daughter, and plan on keeping like this until the 5 year mark (only 2 1/2 years left) kind of a one man protest against cancer.   You have a hell of a kid that would do that for you.....

Take care,

Thanks!

I'm heading for the site store to order him a ballcap to keep his head warm (Hubby has one and he likes it).
