In another post (a joke, I hope) they were talking about dating female convicts.

Someone replied, "All I want is a woman that knows more about guns than me."

I replied:

Ok, she doesn't have to know more.

JUST NOT FREAKIN HATE THEM!!!!

Of course, some other "pluses" would be:

-smaller than ME
-less facial hair than ME
-has motivation beyond spending whatever money I make
-has a hobby BESIDES watching television
-NOT AFRAID to do "icky" stuff like camping, fishing, anything that could include "getting caught in the rain"

Am I too demanding in a potential mate?

Naa...not too picky, but realize that you just eliminated about two thirds of the people born with ovaries in this country.  Hang in there...she'll come along sometime.

Just be yourself, and someday you will find someone that is perfect for you.

And when you find her...make sure you only expect things from her that you would expect of yourself.

Not too demanding at all.  I'd have to say I am pickier, umm I mean, more discriminating than you are.  NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS THAN WHAT YOU WANT!!!  And remember the chances of changing someone are usually zero to nil.

BTW, I am all of the things you listed - unless I am larger than you .

In no way, shape, or form is that being too picky.

You're just being too picky on yourself about being too picky about potentially pickier women that are just too damn picky to begin with.

No, not too picky,

Unless you are 5 feet tall, live in an urban area, and have no facial hair.

I don't meet those standards.  Too much facial hair

Picky is relative.  If you'll be happy by lowering your standards then you are not being too picky, but if you can be happy by compromising on some of your requirements then you might be too picky.  I would, however, be careful for what you wish - you might want to go camping, fishing, etc as an escape someday.

Nope, not too picky.

In fact, I'd say thats a good starting point, but you can (and maybe should) be more picky.  Just because you share a common interest or two and she's not hairy as an ape does not necessarily make a good basis for a relationship.  Its a good start though - a preliminary cut if you will.  IMHO there has to be that undefinable click, sparks, connection, or whatever you want to call it.  I've always believed that the best relationships are built on a solid foundation of a friendship and enjoying common interests are a great way to start.  However, it doesn't automatically follow that a great relationship should stem from that.  I have several female friends whith whom I share some common interests, but I would not ever want to date.

Of course, what do I know; I'm in pretty much the same boat right now.  (BTW, where's the life jacket; I think we're sinking.)

Yeah, thanks!

The funny thing about your post though is just a few days ago I was reading about guys finding their wives outside the US.  It seems the women from other countries are only interested in two things: US citizenship and money.  They marry the men from the US, stay with them for just a bit longer than necessary to become citizens, divorce the man and take half of what he has.  I guess the last laugh will be on you .

There are women out there like you described; as I said previously, I fit the criteria except for the height.  Just keep looking until the right one comes along.

Why do all the trolls appear to be from TX???

Because they can easily hide in the sparsely populated scrub desert areas so it takes us longer to find and 'deal' with them.

Not at all...
I submit for your aproval:

I once caught a snowflake.
It was perfect in every way.
All winter, I gazed upon it.
It's purity and symetry, captivated me.

But the spring came,
and my snowflake melted away.
This saddened me so.

Then, in a valley,
I happend upon a lovely rose,
unlike any I had seen before.

Brilliant petals, wild, raw.

It's blossom,
among the many thorns,
capitvates me so.

The rose had endured the winters,
and grew majestically among the sage and thistle.

Impossible beauty remains,
in places you least expect to find it.

See, not all men are ignorant, knuckle dragging oafs!  We just like to ACT that way!

I finally bought it yesterday.
On the way home I realized:  I don't think I've ever seen the uncensored version.  I might have seen it on HBO at one point, but I think I've only seen it on Comedy Central.

My wife can NEVER weigh more that I do.

Ever.
