Nope, not too picky.
In fact, I'd say thats a good starting point, but you can (and maybe
should) be more picky. Just because you share a common interest or two and she's not hairy as an ape does not necessarily make a good basis for a relationship. Its a good start though - a preliminary cut if you will. IMHO there has to be that undefinable click, sparks, connection, or whatever you want to call it. I've always believed that the best relationships are built on a solid foundation of a friendship and enjoying common interests are a great way to start. However, it doesn't automatically follow that a great relationship should stem from that. I have several female friends whith whom I share some common interests, but I would not
ever want to date.
Of course, what do I know; I'm in pretty much the same boat right now. (BTW, where's the life jacket; I think we're sinking.)
