Since it is black history month, and I teach, can anyone name a person of any color other than white that has changed the world in a truly profound way? I was looking for some picks that aren't too trite.

Sorry, I am drawing a blank. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait a minute, Al Sharpton!!!!
Yeah, I am thinking that one would have to look pretty far back to find someone that really changed the world that isn't shoved down our throats every year. I give MLKJR and rosa parks their due, but beating that drum gets old after a little while.

All kidding aside, B.B. King has been largely responsible for spreading Blues music around the world.

Coach of the Chicago Bears and the coach of the Indianapolis Colts.
Other than that, I'd have to say with confidence.....Samuel L. Jackson! |
Normally, both your asses would be dead as fucking fried chicken, but you happen to pull this shit while I'm in a transitional period so I don't wanna kill you, I wanna help you. Everyone knows that blacks invented peanuts and traffic lights. Recognize. |

What kills me is that there is no other history months for other racisis. How about Asian history month or Spanish history month even cracker history month??????? So political correct the USofA is today.

Well ive been sitting here thinking and cant think of one. Wait, Nelson Mandla does he count?
No. Although he is ethnically African-American, he is not an American and doesn't really have anything to do with US history. |
fixed. |
Jesus maybe? He was supposedly Armenian, that's not caucasian I think.
Chinese? All of them I guess. |
If you call people with those particular physical traits anything but "African-American", you're a RACIST!!! |

George Jefferson- He moved to the west side, in a high rise, finally got a peice of the pie. Known to mistrust "crackers". He had the second largest dry cleaning chain in New York City.
"African-American" isnt an ethnicity. |

When Norwegian settlers first came to Minnesota they brought with them the rich traditions of their homeland. One of those traditions was to dedicate the month of February to the study of Black Cats, thus February became Black Cat History Month.
Of course when Political Correctness reared it's ugly head during the Clinton Administration the descendants of those early settlers were forced to drop the word Cat from Black Cat history month so as not to offend Black Labrador Retrievers and that left us with just plain old Black History month. However, Black Cat History month is still an honored tradition in Norway and February festivities continue unabated just as they have since the time of the Vikings. Black Cat History Month |

Two great, standup men...my ass. What exactly did MLK do? I suppose he talked the talk but what did he really accomplish? Other than the extramarital affairs and probably other impropriety? One thing I don't like about Reagan is his making MLK Day. WTF? You can't go to any major city in this country without seeing a damned MLK street. Let's see, Malcolm was a thief, druggie, racketeer, militant douche bag. Fuck black history month. |
Actually, IIRC, September is Spanish/Hispanic History Month. Not recognized nationally/federally like BHM, though. |
It is here in the States. |

As far as Reverands go, I much prefer Rev. Jesse Lee Peters. |

What about blunts? I'm pretty sure that they invented gangster rap. |
