I recently finished a biography on the general, who lived to see 100 years. In my opinion, one of our finest fighting generals, a true winner.  Just wondering if any of you also have read it.

I am not familar with the name.  What war or major battles did he take part in?

He fought in WW I, WW II and Korea. He commanded III Corps during WW II, and the Eighth Army during the Korean War, following GEN Ridgeway.

He also went to Greece in 1947 and was instrumental in defeating the communists, under the Truman Doctrine. He founded the South Korean version of West Point.
