Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - M4 style post ban stock?

My wife wants to start shooting with me.  The problem is she is barely 5' tall. W/O paying for a pre ban, can I put a collapsable stock on and permanently weld, fix it to the middle position?  Does someone sell an A2 style that is two inches shorter?  Or can the fixed position post ban look alike on the new bushie M4 style carbine be permanently modified to be shorter?
