If permanently installed with a BATF approved method, of course. The Bayo lug will also be removed.

I'm looking to purchase the Bushmaster 16" Superlight barrel available in Pre-ban only, and don't want the loud 'side blast' of the standard brakes. This model directs the gasses & sound forward.

Removing the threaded section would put it under the legal length, and I wouldn't care for the looks if the threads were simply removed by filing.

Can it legally be installed on a Post-ban?

If this is not an option, has anyone came across a superlight-style 16" Postban barrel from a different manufacturer?
