is it true that any gun that is accessible w/o a LOCK violates child endangerment laws (assuming there are children in the house)?  I saw it on TV (cops-like show) where that was the situation & the gun was taken away...

so that means if u have guns & if u also have kids, then u MUST LOCK ALL GUNS AWAY!?!?!  "hold on, mr robber, let me take out & unlock my gun 1st".

True enough…
Looks like it would be wise idea to invest in one of those bedside gun safes.  So you can keep a pistol loaded and ready to go, if that’s what you want.

The law here is basically you have to secure all firearms safely away from children's hands.  Makes sense to me.  The point is to hold people accountable for their actions.  Anybody who allows children unrestricted access to their guns shouldn't have them.
