Got a question for you guys, and I don't know if this has come up before:

If I get a post-922 receiver and have it registered as a short barrelled rifle, can I then have it set up with all the "pre-ban" features?

It would seem that if it is a legal SBR, maybe even with a can on the end, that the 922 banned features would no longer be relevant.

I'm still looking at BATF's site for the info, but figured I'd try here as well.

TIA

The short answer is NO.

An SBR is still a rifle. Therefore, all of the semi-auto restrictions apply.

Pre-Ban rifle = Pre or Post features.

Post-Ban rifle = Post-Ban features only.

Unfortunately some IDIOT managed to drag the AW CRAP partially into NFA.
