… Some time ago I found these nifty pistol grip contour inserts that fit over a longer pistol grip magazine. In this case on a P10-45 pistol with a standard 10 round mag I was able to attach a P14-45 full length 14 round mag without an ugly mismatch. (See below)
… My question, does this violate the extended magazine part of the “922” ban of 1994?
... I no longer carry my P10-45 in this configuration until I'm clear on this legal matter.

Sorry but this is not an answer to your question but instead another question. Does anyone have a link to the COMPLETE text of the 1994 crime bill?

I think as long as they do not turn a post-ban 10 round mag into a 14 round mag, you are OK.

If they just extend the mag, without increasing mag capacity, then they are fine. It's when they modify the mag to make room for MORE ammo, it gets sticky.
