...to buy a handgun in Indiana?

I am currently 19, and have a license to carry a handgun.

Do I still have to be 21 to buy a handgun, or can I be 18 and have a valid permit?

Seems kinda dumb that I can legally carry something that I'm not allowed to buy, but then again, most of the gun laws these days aren't made by the brightest of people. [grenade]

Thanks in advance,

21 to buy, 18 to carry.

I got mine when I was 19.  Get it, it will be the best $25 that you will ever spend on this hobby.

You have to be 21 to buy from a federally licensed dealer.  You may or may not have to be 21 in Indiana to buy from a private seller.

If you have to be 21 in Indiana to buy from a private seller, then the only way you can legally acquire a handgun is to build it yourself (usually from an 80% frame and a parts kit) or to receive it as a gift.
