Just heard from the leader of a group that is being formed locally to help babies with bad hearts.
It has been a few months, and last time we talked they were going to have a solo attorney non profit them and try for a 501(c)3. I advised against the c3 and told em to instead partner up with united way or some other grubber group to rinse the funds through, pay them the damn 5%, and then sit back and let the UW suck the feds off and all that crap.
They didn't listen, and now the solo not only didn't take step one to get the c3, but managed to get the non profit rejected by the state!
She can't find this master of the legal art, so you know who is going to have to unscrew this mess (for freaking free of course)
How the hell do these jerk offs pass law school, much less the bar?
