i own new bushmaster, it is illegal to use
magazines of more than 10 rounds in it. if not,
which ones specifically can i use ,some,all,specifice ones by date, or what,
or are they just illegal more than 10 rds,

It is not illegal to use hi-cap mags in your AR-15 unless state or local laws prohiibit it like in California, New Jersey, etc.  Even if it is a post-ban gun, you can still use pre-ban hi-cap mags in most states.

i dont know about other state laws, but it is Legal to use hi caps in ARs in kalif.
the catch is you have to own it legally before the ban, and you can buy or sell them anymore.

but dont be afraid to take your kalif legal AR and legally possessed hi caps out to the range, its all legal

It became illegal for civilians to posess High capacity magazines MANUFACTURED after September '94, when the, ahem, "crime bill" went into effect. Using them is immaterial. If you own them and you aren't Government or Law Enforcement, You are a felon. You may posess, however, as many pre September 94 Hi Caps as you can afford, and it is NOT illegal to use them in your Bushy, even if it's a post ban gun.  BTW, post september '94 mags are stamped with date of manufacture and/or the phrase "For Government or Law-enforcement use only". The magazines for sale forum in Equipment exchange usually has some good deals on preban hicaps for your AR.
