I remember the individual that does most of my transfers telling me a while back that it was
being considered to allow ffl dealers to use faxes of their licenses.
Has this been okayed or still being considered for future use?

it was approved, but not all places accept FAX copies. The way the number is printed on the FFL, it can be damn near impossible to read on a cheap FAX.  So it sometimes takes several tries or enlarging the FFL and sending two pages, one normal size and one enlarged.

Some places just don't want to deal with it. I say they should let people scan them in full color full size and allow you to email them. Then the person on the other end only needs to print it out.
