Gretings all. This maybe a stupid question, but one that's been itching me. I have one of the fixed tele-stocks for my post ban AR, and seeing that it was once telescopic but now fixed and legal, was wandering if one could get a telescopic and close it, "fix" it, and legally install it?

Sure, as long as the length as the rifle with it closed is greater than the minimum legal length for rifles.  I think its 26".

Hey, thanks for the replies. It looks as if my fixed tele was at one time operational, even has adjustment holes. I think it came from American Spirit Arms, but not 100% sure. We do a lot of the camping/hiking thing around here and the rifle is usually a welcome addition. It would be helpful if I could shave a few inches off making it a little easier to pack. I've fired closed-stock ARs before and can do so quite comfortably. Guess i'll check into it a bit more. Any more advice much appreciated!
