Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Fixed telescoping stock (post ban question).

I know you can put a fixed position telescoping stock on a post ban AR...

But would it be o.k. to fix the telescoping stock to only telescope the last 2 holes on a 4 position telescoping stock?  I mean...the last 2 postions on a telescoping stock don't fold to sub legal length for rifles...

Reason I ask is that sometimes I need a shorter stock when shooting with my Colt scope...

my understanding of the law is that if it moves then it's consider a folder.i maybe wrong on that and it wouldn't be the first time.mmk

No, that would NOT be legal.  You're describing a stock that still collapses (the distance is irrelevant), and those count as an evil item.  Now, if you removed the pistol grip (to legal standards), then you'd be ok.
