I reside in NY State the other party in Texas.

What would be the proper procedure for us to trade Rifles ?

Can I ship the Rifle to His FFL myself ?

Different FFL's give different answers.

Ok I read the FAQ's on the BATF website and it appears that I can ship myself to His FFL.

Federally speaking..... an individual CAN ship to another FFL in another state.  You ship to his, he ships to yours.

You also have to abide by any state and local laws concerning this, should they exist.  I have shipped rifles to FFL's in NY, so I dont think there are any issues there....

Some FFL's personally do not accept shipments from non-FFL holders for some reason, so just make sure both FFL's involved are on the ball and cool with that.
