5 US parts for a STAMPED AK

4 for a MILLED AK

The rule is not minimum US Parts, it is MAXIMUM FOREIGN PARTS

There may be NO MORE THAN 10 FOREIGN PARTS IN ANY IMPORTED 'NON SPORTING' GUN

An AK has 15 parts without a muzzle device, 16 with.

A FAL has 17 parts without a muzzle device, 18 with.

As long as you only use US-made muzzle devices, you are JUST FINE with 5 US PARTS EXCLUDING THE MUZZLE DEVICE
