C&R pistols are not affected by SB15.
Makarovs were made in Russia, China, Bulgaria, and East Germany. Of these, only original surplus East German and original, fixed-rear-sight Russian surplus Maks qualify for C&R status. The adjustable-sight Russian guns are commercial, as are the new-production Bulgarians. Chinese guns can't be imported. Anyway, any FFL should be able to order an East German Mak for you, and these are the nicest ones anyway, particularly the triggers. -Troy |
