Could I build my own 30 round magazines at home from scratch and have them be legal? Or is it that any produced after 94 are for LEO/Military only, no matter who manufactures them?

Kinda like I could build my own gun at home(not a parts kit) and it would not have to be based on the 94 ban. I think I have read that on this forum at one time or another.

No that would not be legal.
That would be manufacturing a high cap post ban mag, and I believe it is a felony. [whacko]
you can refinish old beat up preban mags though.

That would be possesing a high capacity magazine, which is against the law for regulare citizens.

Don't you mean possesing a high capacity mag manufactured after 94 crime bill.
Lot's of people own high cap mags manufactured before the day of stupidity.
