My uncle was in charge of the Atomic Annie test program.

Seems he was able to "misplace" the cannon and several dozen NUCLEAR rounds.

Any chance this can be registered or grandfathered?

I'd hate to have to pay to have the tube cut up, it's huge.

Anyone know of a range where I can fire this thing?

Convert it to a muzzle loader, and you're good. Now the NRC might come bursting down your door for the projectiles...

I think you're okay as long as it doesn't have a bayonet lug.

Also, make sure it has a fixed stock, and for Gods sake make sure it doesnt have a flash suppresor. the only problem is, of course the armor pierecing nuke rounds. it might upset the ATF send me a email and i'll take'em off your hands.

It's a single shot, breech-loading, towed weapon. Without the nuclear projectiles, it's a great big Destructive Device and should be registerable just like that 155mm Howitzer that followed a friend home when he left the Marines. With the nukes, it's a weapon of mass destruction. As a WMD, it cannot legally be registered.

Here it is firing on the range. Somewhere in Nevada, I think. I don't believe they'll let you shot yours there...

Well, his is pulled by a 72 Country Squire station wagon, camo'ed, of course.
And the tube is more of a purple, I guess.

Think it's a BUSHY contract barrel?

As long as there is no flash-hider on the cannon, you should be okay.

Of course, if you have a detachable magazine capacity of greater than 10 rounds (in a semi-auto piece of artillery), then you could run into problems with the pistol grip on the cannon.

But, I think as long as you don't actually fire it in the states of California or New York, you should be okay.

You did have it sent from your uncle's FFL to your FFL, right? Because you know your uncle can't simply send the cannon directly to your FFL himself.

One last question, if I fire it IN PRK but AT AZ or Nevada, will CALDOJ have a problem?

I don't think so. I have seen a couple of 9mm conversion kits but they were very high dollar.

Just take it to the Pakistani or Indian gun club. They'll let you shoot, but they'll probably want a turn also.

You going to put a scope on that thing?

I would suggest a surefire light for it. Do you only use CLP on it? I've heard you can get an 80% casting for this. Comments?

80% forging, maybe. An 80% casting would be a one shot bomb. It's a 280mm round, don't you know?

I heard that with the right powder and primer, you can get sub-moa accuracy with that (off a benchrest, of course). After all, it is a low-yield nuke, right? So accuracy still counts?

I had one but lent it to a friend who backed his truck into it and it shattered, espeacially the part with the serial number. Does anyone know how i can get it replaced?

It should be ok, it will probably take 8 to 10 weeks, also make sure you have your paperwork saying it was a pre ban cannon prior to sep 94 or you might have problems with the flash hider and collapsible trailer mount.

It gives me the creeps thinking that field level tactical nukes were actually part of the plan at one point. (BTW, what happened to the Pakistani land mines after the Russo-Afghani War?)

Im sure if you ask the one-legged area villagers they'll be able to tell you where not walk!!!

SAY!!! If i can get one of those cannons you think that one guy that put wren and stimpy on his ar15's will do custom engraving??? Im thinki8ng scoobie doo and shaggy!!

I was referring to the supposed [b]NUCLEAR[/b] land mines that Pakistan reported deployed around the Khyber Pass area when it looked like they were the next "domino" after Russia won the Afghani war...
