The question is:

Is there any laws (federal or state) restricting face-to-face private sale of firearms in Colorado.

Situation will be, I do not live in Colorado but would like to sell a couple of my personal firearms when I am in Colorado visiting. I intend to advertise them in the local paper and sell to whomever responds to the ads with the correct cash. This will be a face-to-face transaction conducted in the home of a relative, not at a gunshow.

(I am not looking for any opinions on the morality of assuming responsibility for the actions or the creditability of the buyer. So if you have an opinion on that, start another thread and we will exchange viewpoints).

AFAIK, only gunshow sales have restrictions for private sales...So whatcha selling? If It's AR15's or pistols I don't think the papers will run the ad....

You cannot legally sell any firearms to a nonlicensed individual who is not a resident of your home state. See the link.
