Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about NG on Active duty status

I just found out that my unit is going to be extended, and we are going to be on active duty orders for at least 8 months, maybe more.  Do you know exactly which active duty benefits we qualify for, or do you have a link that would give me this info?

I think we qualify for the VA home loan, veteran preference on gov't jobs, etc.  I just don't know how far it goes, GI Bill, etc.  Thanks for the help

180 days gets you all the benifits of active duty, including eligability ofr VA loans and VA health care. GI bill it does not, however, as you must sign up for the active version at entry and pay in for 1 year.

The health care is the big one, as 6 years of reserve/gaurd times will get you eligable for a VA loan.
