Yeah... My shuttle has lots of space so I guess I qualify...

I've always admired shuttle pilots. All of the training and other BS that they have to go through in order to just get into the program.

I doubt I will ever get to pilot the shuttle, but I'm happy just getting brought along on missions as the tactical support. [:)]

I thought you were going to complain about CNNs use of the term "Robotic Arm"  when describing that great Canadian Invention...

I never drove one but I did work on the Shuttle project at the NASA in New Orleans. We built the external fuel tanks; that big brown thingie that drops away after 7 minutes of controled explosion.

I built a Estes rocket kit once does that count. It was a 3 stage rocket kit that must have gone up to 1200 feet, very cool to watch.

I modified a post-ban Estes rocket one time... yeah... yeah...  And it went so high that I had to register it with NASA.

By the way, when it came down it had a moon rock stuck in the nose cone.[BD]

I tried to blast the moon rock off with my 9mm, but that anemic round didn't even scratch the balsa wood fins.

I've dated a butt load of space cadets.  There has to be a NASA qualification for extra-agency experience.

Not only was I the Test Pilot for the shuttle, but I was the Chief Engineer of the Design team.  I was recruited from my position over at the Lockheed Skunkworks.

Actually, I have flown and landed the shuttle plenty of times (simulator that is). Job requirement. "Flying Brick" is correct.
