you can get a romanian sks in good condition (meaning it will shoot but it wont look pretty) from any turner's.

the clostest turners is 300 miles away from me i know i can get a romaian for about 130 but i kinda want to do a private party sale

Private party sales in CA require transfers thru a FFL.

I don't think pvt party trfrs are legal in Kali anymore. I know for a fact that is true on long guns. You can buy an SKS at Big5. Also see if you can get a local FFL to do a tfr for you and buy throught the net. Century Arms or some other. I'm sure there are quite a few C&R FFL in your area.

In the PRK, ALL gun transfers must go through an FFL.
Federal Arms has Romanian SKSs with cracked/broken wooden stocks, and they are shipping them with the EXCELLENT Choate Zytel stock, for $149 total. If you were planning on replacing the stock anyway (and the original stock is WAY too short for me), you won't find a better deal. Of course, you need an FFL to send it to, and you'll have to pay whatever fees they charge to receive out-of-state transfers, plus the DROS fee. -Troy |

If you're looking into MilSurps for your collection, get a C&R. Even if you only have it for a year. You can buy stuff on the net and not have to worry about it. Been thinking about it myself. Don't really know if I like milsurps that much yet. I do like SKS' and Mosins for sure. I will have to see if thoss MAS90 are any good. I definitely would like at least 2 more SKS' one being a carbine.
