Just wait until you're taxed on it... 18% + whatever the jackasses hit you with.. could be looking at 25-35% next year.

Hope you have some Change leftover from your paycheck for what you really need.

Our coverage keeps going down on our medical.  Three years ago it cost $250 total for my wife to have our 4th kid.  Number 5, this year, with the same HMO plan, is going to cost me over $900, and the premiums are way up from then, too.

Cigna tried to raise mine 21%, I dumped them and went to a more local provider... so no increase and I get the same coverage.

Sometimes I can't stand these big popular providers.

The insurance company we get ours from at work apparently wanted to raise rates 30% this year.  I believe we told them to pound sand and went elsewhere.

We have a pretty decent plan and the company is paying 100% –– we don't have to contribute anything.  On the flip side, it would cost a ridiculous amount of money to add any family members to the plan.  They decided to use the health insurance budget to cover their employees as best they can, which I have no issues with....just means that the employee's families are left out in the cold unless you want to pay the big bucks.

I am with BCBS but because of preexisting conditions I am stuck

up until recently i had been very very happy with their service and would not have thought twice or had a problem with the increase
but I got a gigantic bill last week  from something I had done in January

it is something I have had to have done a couple times in the past and they paid it 100%

but not again as it was a home health care

took um a year to decide they weren't gonna pay it
I guess next time Ill just go into the hospital at $10K a day  as they will cover that
instead of $200 a day that they won't pay
morons

I can't even begin to afford the health coverage offered by my company.

Not sure of the percentage, but ours went down a little. Actually, they offered another plan they didnt last year that better fits my needs that I went with. All three plans we had to choose from were a little cheaper though.

Lucky bastard - the renewal for my company is 48% higher than last year.  We're shopping for alternatives now, and it's practically guaranteed that benefits will be reduced dramatically.

I saved $22,000 this year by NOT accepting another 17% increase and canceling the mother fuckers.

That means I'm out of pocket about $5K for the year, vs. the $3K + premiums if I'd stayed with them.

Yes, I HAD a good plan - but I was paying for others - not me.

This is part of how I survived the recession.

Unfortunately many many folks will be in the same boat thanks to the fuckstains in DC, look to have insurance go up across the board, and fairly significant increases at that.
