5.56x45 55gr ball is perfectly adequate for Chupacabra (and other scum found in NE) at 100 yards or less.
This be the Chupacabra.

This be the exit wound.

This is the rifle.

It took one shot, started chasing its tail, and collapsed about 20 feet away. That is all.

Only the best rifles for the chupacabra hunting couch commando. It was eating off an old deer carcase in my field when I noticed it. I ran about 100 yards to the house, retrieved my rifle, ran back, popped out from cover and made it halfway prone before it noticed me. I went prone, cranked the S&B to 4x(need a cat-tail) and then Breathe, Squeeze, Bang. It felt natural.
