So i just sold my jetski today for 5000 with trailer, and i  owe 8400 on loan still, the reason it sold for so low is due to a lot of paint damages from a storm blowing it into a dock. Anyways, should i put all the 5000 in the loan right away or just keep the 5000 and pay monthly? Would puting in the whole 5000 in help reduce the interest payment in the long run? Its actually not a loan, its Yamaha credit card.

If you are paying interest I would pay all 5000 towards it.

Its going to really suck making payments on the rest of the loan when you cant even ride it.

I'd just pay all and be done with it, less to worry about.

What model of PWC was it?

Unless you have a no interest plan, how would not paying as much as soon as you can cost you less?

Pay it.  CC companies are jacking interest rates at the drop of a hat.

how do you have a loan for a item and sell it. Doesnt the lean holder technicly still own the PWC? If it was damaged didnt  insurance pay for it?

I agree if you are paying interest then I would put all of it on the loan.

Yeah i agree i am going to pay it all into the account. The reason why I still owe so much is that i got laid off last year and was 2 days late on the account and it as 0% interest, then the  interest rate went up so high after being 2 days late, Its been real a hard time to pay it a monthly at the lowest amount I can and be able to afford to pay other bills and live. I'm so happy its gone, I just got back from finalizing the deal. It was a 06 Yamaha GP1300R with 41 hours on it and 2007 shorelander trailer.

Now with my new job starting January 1st i should be able to pay the rest of 3,400 off all by march no problem. Then start saving another 3500 for the AR50 whoo! :)
