If I ignore their liberal/socialist/communist politics I fucking love their older stuff (eg self-titled, Steal This Album, Toxicity). I appreciate what they're trying to accomplish trying to bring attention to the Armenian genocide since my stepmom is the daughter of an Armenian-immigrant mother and father, but I can't stand SOAD's politics. How do you reconcile your politics with music? Most liberal pansy ass groups don't sound this good.

I can ignore the politics and listen to music with ease.

I like a lot of what SOAD has put out. Toxicity is probably my favorite CD from them.

i REALLY like their slower, non liberal / hate America message sending songs.

the rest of their songs are just a bunch of fucktards slamming on instruments and alot of additional ruckus.

one of my faves, by far :headbang:

Serj has an amazing voice, the music is brilliant. I wish the drummer would shut up with the screaming though.

I haven't heard many of their songs, but judging by the ones I have heard, I cannot fathom how anyone can find pleasure in listening to that noise.

Without a doubt, the worst group of noise makers I've ever heard in my life.

The lead singer needs to suck start a 12ga.

I agree 100% I saw rage against the machine in socal a couple of years ago,and the ''people of the sun'' were the ones cleaning up the trash afterwards.Slightly ironic

This is pretty much where I am. I just kind of ignore their actual lyrics. I hear Serj's voice, but don't listen to what he says. Their guitar work fucking rocks though.
