I have recently left New Hampshire due to family concerns. I moved up there from Rhode Island several years ago, and I recomend it highly. I had no trouble meeting like minded folks, and they will welcome anyone who is not a flaming Massachusetts liberal.
There are good jobs up there, depending upon what you do. I don't know what course of study you are pursuing with grad school, but there are some very good colleges there of just south of the border in Mass.
The southern portion of the state, from Nashua West to the coast is largely inhabited by folks who work in Mass-many of them moved to escape the socialist hell they created and wish to recreate it in NH, sadly.
Again, that same area has relatively high real estate prices and is experiencing some urbanization (lots of plats going in).
North of Manchester, especially North of Concord, and west of Nashua it is still largely rural and free.
I really miss the "Live Free or Die" attitude of most folks up there. I plan to return one day.
If you have any ???'s drop me a note at

It all depends upon what you want-the public schools are pretty good, for the most part. there are good private and parochiol schools, too.
CCW is shall issue, $10.00 for 4 years, and I've not heard of the cops giving folks trouble for carrying or keeping a rifle in your car.
Class 3 is plentyfull (if you have the scratch) almost all Chief LEO's will sign.
