I'm waiting for my package from Rock River Arms. I hatched a hairbrained scheme last week while reading Shotgun News. I'm going to build a 16" post-ban carbine with green furniture, mid-length handguards, and an A2 upper on a Rock River lower with a short LE Entry Buttstock - in green of course.
I had no idea what use such a rifle would have when I ordered the parts. However, yesterday morning I picked my wife up at the airport and noticed the No-Goes with their A2's strapped accross their chests.
I thought to myself that they'd be better served with an M4 carbine or a possibly even a handy HK squirt gun. That's when the big EUREKA hit me. [thinking] I finally knew the use of my little carbine! It was a SHARC (Security, Homeland Airport Response Carbine).
I have a Blackhawk (Tactical no less... it says so on the label) sling and some Ashley high visibility sights in my parts bin. With those accessories I'm set.
Now if I could only market this puppy with "Airport Tactical Grey" furniture and a whiz-bang "tactical" rail system I'd be set!
What do you think? Should I think of it as a SHARC or should I think of it as a YOUTH model which is certain to aggrivate a million mad mothers?[pissed]
