So like I go in for my once every 4 month haircut today. The question is: Why is it that the effeminate male haircutters seem to always do a better job than the womenz?

I have quite a few theories in regard to this same subject.

1. Perhaps the men know what other men like more so than women and are therefore in a better position to give you what you think will be cool?

2. Perhaps the men follow male haircutting techniques while the women focus more so on women?

3. Perhaps the women know they cannot make a whole lot of money cutting men's hair, so they just want to get you out of the chair and out the door? The problem with this theory is men are usually better tippers, so there is at least a small hole in this theory.

4. Perhaps she doesn't find you attractive, and as a result wants to get you out of the chair and out the door ASAP?

I'm thinking #4 in your case.

No mall barber for me, mine's an old fashioned shop on the main drag in our town, barder pole by the front door, gun, hunting and car mags out, girly mags in the cupboard under the old cash register,  got a gun you wanna trade, bring it in, put it in the cabinet, somebody in town will probably buy it.... one stop shopping..go to town for a haircut, come home with a new pistol, works for me...... I only let women cut my hair.  It is much more interesting with women leaning over you, especially if they have nice cleavage and a low cut top.

I get my hair cut by the same lady that's been cutting it for almost 15 years - Nancy, at the Spanish Village Barber Shop in Richardson!

Off the collar and halfway off the ears!

'Pardon me, Mr. Hun, but when you came in this afternoon, were you wearing a pink bow-tie?'

'No, ma'am.'

'Oh? Well, then here's your lower lip!'

If you have straight hair that you want to keep short, buy the FlowBee.  I've been using one for about a decade.
That's worth a bunch of ammo.

I do not look weird.

Ok, I do not look very weird.

Really.

The best-looking haircut I ever got was from a one armed man in an apron, who used only an electric trimmer.

My wife has cut our hair for the past 20 years or so. I think that our son has only had three "real barber" haircuts in his 19 years.
I just got a town haircut last Friday. We were in the big city. My wife isn't as steady as she used to be and the haircuts show it.
I go to a shop in Reno with two OLD guys who do the works and I'm pleased.
Does anyone remember getting cuts for $1 ?

mine's a slightly different model
cost about $30. Takes me less than 10 minutes to cut my hair, paid for itself after about 4 haircuts. I was getting it "buzzed" off anyway, might as well do it myself.

A #1 on the sides and back (unless they have a 1/2). Flatten the top up, and don't put none of that pomaide crap in it. Every two weeks. Just got mine done today.

I go for a #2 on the sides and a #1 on top. My barber is a shooter and a real cool guy. He owns a few SURs as well.

The one time he was sick I went to the Vietnamese shop next door and had the cutest little Vietnamese hottie cut my hair. She did a great job and was very nice. I was really tempted to visit her more often, but then I saw a piece of seaweek dangling between her rotting teeth and decided I'd stick with my guy.

About that straight razor thing...you know you got a good cut when they have to stop the bleeding.

...or sew part of your ear back on.
