I suddenly found myself with a virus- it corrupted a file which I can't find anywhere easily.   Windows 98 system file  KERNEL32.EXE  Can someone e-mail me a copy of this file?  Thanks

Check inside the CAB files on your Windows CD. You'd have to replace it under DOS (boot from a floppy).

...which is not the way I recommend.

I think fdisk is the way to go. Back up your documents, favorites/bookmarks, passwords, address book etc...then install from scratch onto the empty harddrive.

Get a decent anti-virus program immediately.
