I was reading the assault weapons ban today and noticed some of the (bullshit, cause they don't qualify for their definition anyways) exemptions to the Assault Weapons ban. Among those listed include a number of rifles specifically called "sniper rifles" under Appendix A.  If I recall, Clinton made a big deal out of the fact the law protected legitimate weapons, as did the rest of the supporters (to appeal to liberal hunters I guess).  I hope this bites them in the ass someday, when they try to ban sniper rifles.

No, what's going to happen is that just before the whole thing sunsets in 2004, they'll renew the AW ban and magazine ban and allow the list to sunset so that they can ban the 'sniper rifles'.
